Two Identical Looking Men Meet on an Airplane
Before you read: some questions to help you think
about the topic and the words you might need.
Have
you heard about people looking exactly like other people?
How
would you feel if you knew there is someone who looks 100% the same as you?
A bearded traveler met his double on a Ryanair flight after he
discovered a stranger sitting in his seat.
Neil was shocked to discover someone who looked totally identical to him on
an airplane flight. Robert, from London, was on the flight from England to
Ireland.
Instead of asking the stranger to move the
32-year-old wedding photographer, from Glasgow, took a selfphoto (a selfie) and
shared the image on Twitter. Robert, the other guy, said Neil suddenly appeared
next to him and all my friends started shouting, that they had to take a
picture.
He said they chatted on the flight for just
over an hour, and got on well.’
The photograph, which has already been
shared nearly 2,000 times, shows the two complete strangers looking surprisingly
similar. And they say that this is perhaps because of their large red colored
beards, smiles and hairstyles.
The two guys, were even wearing similar
black shirts. They later realized they were booked into the same Irish hotel
and so they decided to enjoy some beers together in a nearby bar.
Neil said: 'I asked him to move, but when
the guy looked up, I thought: "Holy shit, he looks like me."
He said that they laughed about it –
everyone laughed about it too. They took a selfie and they thought that was the
end of the meeting.
He said he later checked into his hotel and
was surprised to find that Robert was checking into the same hotel. He said it blew his mind.
He said it turned out that they were staying at the same hotel. And so they ended up socializing and a lot of people pointed out that they looked very similar.'
Robert, who is in Ireland for a weekend of
fun and drinking, said that he had not met Neil since.
Social media users have since showed their
surprise and even can’t believe that the two men aren't related.
Lee, who is friends with Neil’s wife,
shared the image on Twitter along with the words: 'Guy on right is the husband
of my friend. Guy on left is a STRANGER he met on a flight last night!'
She added later: 'I can't stop looking at
it. They are the same man.'
A Ryanair spokesman said: 'It just goes to show, when you fly Ryanair, you
pay half the fares but have twice the fun.'
