Wearable Technology will change your life
Pre
discussion questions
Do
you have some wearable technology? What technology would you wear?
How
do you think wearable technology will change your life?
Dr. James Canton is the CEO of the San
Francisco-based Institute for Global Futures and author of “Future Smart:
Managing the Game-Changing Trends that will Transform Your World:”
He believes that Wearable mobile technology
such as smart watches will blanket the
world. By 2025, there will be a huge Internet of everyone and everything linking every nation, community,
company and person. It will link all of the world’s knowledge. This will accelerate information that can be used
for education, health care, jobs, entertainment and business.
Artificial intelligence (AI) will become both as smart as and smarter
than humans. AI will be embedded in cars,
robots, homes and hospitals. These things and places will create the AI
economy. Humans and robots will merge,
digitally and physically, to help patients who may be around the world.
Robo-surgeons will operate remotely
on patients. RoboDocs will deliver babies and treat your sickness over the
cellphone.
Predictive medicine will change health care. Technology will be able to find
out what disease you have with medical devices that can smell your breath. Also
DNA will be able to see what your future health will be like. Medical help will
be for you personally. This will help to stop future disease. It will save lives
and billions of dollars in lost work.
