An Angry Woman is Worse than Hell
Pre
discussion questions
What
do you think happened in this story?
How
angry would you be if someone cheated you?
It is said that ”hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” - and this woman is no different.
The woman is only known as
"Linda" from Warwick in the UK. Linda discovered that her partner
Graham had been cheating on her with another woman. So Linda had made many
posters telling him he was dumped. She
had the posters put all over her local town center.
On the posters Linda also says she has
thrown Graham's car keys into the river. That she has spent the maximum limit
on his credit cards. And that she has changed the door locks to their house.
"Graham, if she is so good in bed you
can stay there. Mercedes keys in canal. Locks changed. Cards maxed. Happy New
Year, Linda xxx" the posters read.
The signs have an image of Graham's name in
a heart which is hanging from a rope.
Neither Linda nor Graham has yet been
identified but dozens of people have seen the posters around the town. Since
then the pictures of them have been shared all over social media.
One person commented on social media:
"Don't think Graham in Warwick will be having a very good day."
Although some social media users said that
Linda could have broken the law by her actions with Graham's credit cards and
throwing away his keys, others admired her actions.
Another comment said: "So funny. Most
of us wouldn't have the courage. Good on ya girl."
The professional-looking posters were erected by a company called Throwing
Rocks. This company advertised that they will erect the posters in a location specified by you." Perhaps this is
a first time event for this company.
Although some have suggested Linda's revenge may be an publicity stunt, on Twitter the company was adamant the posters were genuine. They said that their website had been included at
the bottom as a "way of letting you know who provided the service."
