거주지 소개 관련 3단 콤보 질문 중 마지막 세 번째 질문을 함께 살펴보겠습니다.
자신이 살고 있는 집 주위에 어떤 것이 있는지 설명하라는 질문이 자주 출제되는데요, 이 질문은 자신이 살고 있는 동네 묘사와 비슷하답니다.
여러분의 집 주위에는 어떤 것이 있나요?
많은 학생들이 단순히 다른 아파트, 상가 등만 떠올린답니다. 집 주위에 특별히 묘사할 곳이 없다면 일반적으로 동네에 있을법한 것들을 생각해서 답변을 만들어 보세요.
예를 들어, 가장 기본적으로 공원, 학교, 상점, 극장, 그리고 전철역이나 버스 정류장을 생각해낼 수 있겠죠? 이러한 것들을 하나씩 이야기 풀어가는 것입니다.
그렇다면 집 주위를 묘사하기 위해서 필요한 표현을 살펴볼까요?
1) park – It’s within walking distance from my house ( 집에서 걸어갈 수 있는 거리 )
The park has a walking trail and a bike trail

I live in a residential area and it’s pretty quiet. Near my house, you can see many things. First of all, there is a park within walking distance from my house. It’s a small park with many trees and flowers, so I can breathe in the fresh air whenever I go to the park. Also, the park has a walking trail and a bike trail, so it’s a great place to take a walk or ride a bike. Behind the park, there is an elementary school. Many kids go to school in the morning and they are pretty loud, but cute. I can see kids playing on the playground during the day. Around my house, there are many stores and some big stores are open until late at night. Whenever there is something I need to buy, I can easily go to one of the stores and get things. It’s really convenient for me to go grocery shopping. Lastly, you can see a subway station close to my house. It’s just a five minute walk from my house and many subways go through my town. It helps me get around easily and get to downtown within 10 minutes by subway. That’s what I like the most about my town and I think it’s a great place to live in.
