#49. 돌발주제 – 계절 (1)
안녕하세요 여러분,
이번에는 우리나라의 계절과 관련된 예상문제를 함께 알아보겠습니다
우리나라는 사계절이 뚜렷한 편이죠? 봄 여름 가을 겨울의 날씨가 어떠하며 계절마다 사람들이 어떠한 활동을 즐겨하는 지 영어로 설명하는 연습을 해 봅시다.
먼저, 첫 번째 예상질문은 우리나라의 사계절의 날씨를 묘사하는 것입니다. 각 계절의 특징은 무엇이 있을까요?
봄에는 꽃이 피고 날씨가 따뜻한 반면 황사가 나타나죠.
여름에는 덥고 습한 날씨이면서 장마가 시작되기도 합니다. 하지만 해가 길어져서 야외활동을 하기에는 좋겠네요.
가을에는 날씨가 선선하고 바람이 불고 단풍이 들어서 아름다워지죠
겨울에는 눈이 내리기도 하고 영하로 떨어지는 아주 추운 날씨이지만, 이 날씨 덕분에 스키나 스노우보드를 타러 갈 수도 있답니다.
자, 우리나라 사계절의 특징이 정리되었나요?

Question) Can you tell me about the seasons in your country? What’s the weather like in each season?
Model Answer)
There are four distinctive seasons in my country. They are spring, summer, fall and winter. Each season is very different. In spring, the weather is warm and mild, and flowers and trees bloom. Especially, cherry blossom trees bloom around April, so some cities which are famous for their cherry blossom trees are packed with visitors. One thing I’m not happy with spring is that yellow dust shows up. In that case, we try to stay indoors instead of enjoying outdoor activities. In summer, the weather is very humid and hot. Personally, I can’t stand the heat waves in summer, so I actually don’t like summer in Korea. But, I have to admit that I like the time when days become longer. Between June and July, we have monsoon season and then it rains a lot.
In fall, which starts around October, the temperature is cool and dry. The sky is very clear and it is sometimes windy. The leaves on trees turn yellow and red, so it’s absolutely beautiful.
Winter comes around December and then temperature falls below zero. Some parts of Korea have a lot of snow during winter, and that’s why many Koreans go skiing or snowboarding.
I like four different seasons in Korea.
