Travel the world and get
paid to eat
How
do you think you can travel the world and get paid?
What
would be your dream job?
Do you spend most of your days thinking
about your next meal? Do you love interesting foods and new tastes? A new exciting
job is being advertised and it may be right
up your street. And it is paying you a lot of money to travel the world trying
new foods. The salary is a $65,000, and your job will be ‘Director of Taste’
for the company. You have to travel for a year and all your costs such as food
and accommodation and travel are paid. Sometimes you will travel for 4 months
at one time. You will work 35 hours per week and sick pay and 28 days holiday a
year.
Your job will be to send back information
about the foods you taste. You will have to help
set up overseas business partnerships to send back the new ingredients you
find. This sounds like the dream job for you? It won’t be easy. You will need a
few years’ experience in the food industry or as a chef. Those shortlisted will go through a rigorous interview process. And they
must have a full background check, and will also be required to complete a test
to discover your ability to taste.
This is a very unique and exciting job. But even though there are exciting perks the employer says the job is not
easy. There are hundreds of ingredients and recipes across the world that
haven’t been shown to people in the UK before. So they hope the new food taste
traveler will be able to inspire
some new and tasty recipes. They believe innovation
is the most important. So they want someone with an innovative and creative
mind to help increase their current recipes. Maybe this is your dream job?
