Coronavirus has a victim that has no connection to diseases. Corona beer is the victim. It is one of the world’s most popular beers.

Many online memes have been made about Corona beer. The memes are shared on videos, social media and worldwide. There has been a very big increase in searches for “corona beer virus” and “beer coronavirus”.  The Mexican beer hasn’t been immune. The beer has been connected with Coronavirus. Now drinkers plans to drink Corona beer in the U.S. has plunged to the lowest in two years.

This negative event has become more severe recently  as the virus goes to many places. Shares on the stockmarket of Corona-maker Constellation Brands Inc. decreased a lot, by 8% this week in New York. An online marketing tool that records people’s good or bad thinking of a product show the image of Corona has tumbled to 51 from a high of 75 at the beginning of the year.

Corona gets its name from the sun and has nothing to do with the virus.

Corona is the third-most popular beer in the U.S. Guinness is first and Heineken is second.

Another reason for the drop in purchase could be the perception of Corona as a summer drink. Corona is connected with beach holidays. Therefore, Corona has summer and winter fluctuations.
