    ◆ 일상 생활 속 활동 (30초 답변 연습)  - 인터넷 사용의 장단점   

    오늘은 인터넷 사용의 장단점에 대한 답변 연습을 해보겠습니다.
    거의 매일 우리가 노출되어 있는 곳이 바로 인터넷 입니다. 인터넷 접속하여 할 수 있는 일이 무엇이며, 어떠한 점이 편리한지를 생각해 보겠습니다.

    우선, 인터넷의 장점을 살펴볼까요? 정보 검색이 쉽고 간단하며, 많은 정보가 있고, 이메일을 통해서 친구나 가족들과 연락할 수도 있습니다. 그럼 이러한 내용을 영어로 어떻게 표현할 수 있을까요? 

    1) It’s easy to access the Internet and I can search for information which I need for my study.  
    (인터넷 접속이 쉽고 공부를 위해 필요한 정보를 검색할 수 있습니다) 

    2) I can check and send emails to my friends or family so that I can keep in touch with them who I can’t get to meet often. 
    (자주 만나지 못하는 친구들이나 가족과 연락을 할 수 있도록 이메일을 주고 받을 수 있습니다.)

    그렇다면, 인터넷 사용의 단점은 무엇일까요? 우선, 너무 많은 정보가 있어서 나쁜 정보에도 노출될 수 있고, 인터넷에 중독되면 다른 일을 소홀히 할 수도 있겠죠. 
    이제 영어로 표현해 볼까요?

    1) There is too much information on the Internet, so sometimes there’s a possibility that I get exposed to some bad information..
    (인터넷에 정보가 너무 많아서 때로는 나쁜 정보에 노출될 가능성도 있습니다)

    2) Some people get addicted to using the Internet, and it makes them waste their time. 
    (일부 사람들은 인터넷 사용에 중독이 되어서 시간을 낭비하게도 됩니다 ) 

    이제, 실전 예상 문제로 답변 연습을 해보겠습니다. 

    6) What are some advantages and disadvantages of using the 
    Internet?

    The advantage of using the Internet is that I can get information and news fast. Whenever I need data, I can easily log onto the Internet even late at night. Also I can keep in touch with people by e-mail on the Internet.
    However, the disadvantage of using the Internet is that we can be exposed to some bad information as well. Also, some people are addicted to the Internet and waste their time. But I think there are more advantages of using the Internet.
