TOEIC SPEAKING
#203. TOEIC SPEAKING ( Part 5 – Q2 )
[
Q 10]
Hello,
this is Lydia Han. This message is for Mr. Peter Johnson in Personnel. Mr.
Johnson, it's 7:30 Tuesday night. I got a letter today scheduling me for a job
interview at 8:00 AM Thursday. I may have a problem getting to your office by
that time. I've never been there before, and I live about 30 kilometers from
the city center. If I drive in, I'm not sure I will be able to find parking
near your building. I know parking is very crowded in City Center. If I take
the train in, I don't know how close your building is to Central Station. The
earliest train arrives at 7:40. Can I walk to your building by 8:00? I don't
want to put off the interview, but I don't want to be late. Can you advise?
Thanks. Lydia Han. 555-4321.

Hello, Ms. Han,
This is Peter Johnson from Personnel. I got your message this morning and I’m
sorry to cause you any trouble with the job interview schedule. You are worried
that you might be late for the job interview because of a parking problem or a
train schedule. Well, I’m sure that you don’t need to worry about things. Our
office building is close to the Central station. It’s within walking distance
and I guess it’s about a 7 minute walk. So, I can tell you that you can get
here just in time if you take the earliest train. I’ll see you at the job
interview on Thursday. Good luck! Thank you.
