[ Q ]  I would like to give you a situation and ask you to act it out. Let’s say your family is planning a dinner at a new restaurant in town to celebrate a special occasion. Call the restaurant and ask three or four questions to find out everything about the restaurant.

특별한 일을 기념하기 위해서 가족 저녁식사를 위해 새로운 레스토랑을 예약하려 하죠. 전화를 걸어서 질문을 3개 혹은 4개 하라는 문제입니다. 가족에게 특별히 기념할 행사는 무엇이 있을까요? 생일파티, 결혼기념일이나 승진 축하 기념 식사 등이 있겠죠. 가장 흔히 생각할 수 있는 것이 바로 생일파티 입니다. 그렇다면 식당에 전화해서 물어볼 사항은 무엇이 있나요? 우선 별도의 룸이 있는지, 예약 가능한 지, 그리고 메뉴는 무엇이며 생일축하 음악을 틀어줄 수 있는지 등을 물을 수 있겠네요.

We have a large number in our party, so I’m wondering if you have a separate room that can seat around 10 people. That sounds great! What kinds of menus do you serve? Do you have a salad bar available? That’s fantastic! Can we make a reservation ahead of time? We would love to come at seven in the evening this Saturday. Oh, I almost forgot.
